Having more children could slow aging

In the journal PLOS One, researchers reveal that women who had more children had longer telomeres than women who had fewer children.

Telomeres are caps at the end of each DNA strand that protect our chromosomes - thread-like structures that contain all our genetic information - from damage.

Each time a cell replicates, telomeres become shorter. They eventually become so short that they stop protecting chromosomes, leaving them vulnerable to damage, which in turn causes our cells to age and stop functioning effectively.

Previously, animal studies have supported the "life history theory," suggesting that higher reproductive behavior is associated with accelerated biological aging.

However, this latest study, led by Prof. Pablo Nepomnaschy and Cindy Barha - both of Simon Fraser University in Canada - contradicts this theory.

This is the right blog for anybody who wants to understand
this topic. You understand so much its almost tough to argue with
you (not that I really will need to...HaHa).
You definitely put a new spin on a subject that
has been written about for decades. Excellent stuff, just wonderful!

When we give a person's exact words our readers can see both ideas and the way they were shown.

A standard intro in reported speech is the very best approach to expressing an idea. Very few people speak sufficiently to say in one sentence just what a good journalist can compress into a well-written intro.

Quotes should not be used on radio, which should broadcast the words in the spoken form, sometimes called music. Television journalists can use prices shown as text on the display screen.

In print we notice people's voices through quotes, in broadcasting the voices are noticed in the form of audio or actuality.

The main reason for not starting a tale with a quote is that a quote itself rarely shows the news headlines value of your account. It really is your task as a journalist to see the reader what is news. You must tell them what's new, unusual, interesting or significant about the information you present. Only when you have informed them what's news should you use a quote to aid your intro.

Beginning with a quote also means that your visitors start to see the quote before they know who may have said it. How can they judge the value of the quote without knowing the presenter?

People often use exciting vocabulary when they speak. Insurance quotes allow you to put that lively dialect straight into your story.

Because radio journalists should avoid insurance quotes altogether, and television set journalists should use them as graphics on the display screen, this section will focus on using quotations in the print media.
